The high starch content in rice gives it the necessary nutritional properties for the body. Whole rice consists of the whole grain which has kept the germ and the outer shell (the bran). It thus provides a source of fiber and nutrients.
Count about 60g of rice per person. Put the rice to cook in a saucepan and cover with plenty of cold water. Bring to a boil and cook 30 to 35 min. medium heat. Drain and rinse at your convenience.
Eat hot as an accompaniment to all your vegetable, meat and fish dishes. Can also be enjoyed as a salad.
